Choose Your Local Realtor

Are you a home buyer just getting started in your real estate search? If so, you may want to take a few moments to read on.
Let’s start with your home search. It’s important to you and it’s important to me. If you are not familiar with the area you are targeting, you will be relying heavily on your Realtor. This Realtor will be the area expert. Will this home gain or lose value in the next five years? Is there a proposal to install a landfill in the back yard? The Realtor you choose should do their homework and find this out for you.
Now, let me enlighten you about your home search. Almost 90 percent of home buyers start their search online. Over 60 percent use Google to search the area with terms “homes for sale” or “real estate”. No matter what area or city the consumer targets in their search, they will see the same companies at the top of the search page. I won’t call names. Take a look for yourself. These companies have spent millions to gain the top positions to capture your business and further to recommend an agent to you. Some of these agents agreed to share their commissions or paid to be members on these sites. Are they the “area experts”? I don’t think so. These sites are head quartered in other states. If I’m looking for a home in Fredericksburg, VA, I don’t want someone across the country forcing me to use their services or Realtors just because I looked at some listings on their site. If you are looking to make one of the most important decisions in your lifetime, make it with someone you know or that is the true area real estate expert.

His Fredericksburg real estate website is totally free to use with no strings attached.
